Where the paywall sits, and why
The free tier gives you the construction, the tells it was read from, whether the sole comes apart, and every qualification — including everything the service cannot know. What it does not give you is the lifespan path drawing.
Knowing a shoe is Goodyear welted is a noun. What decides whether you buy it is the sentence after it: so this sole comes off three to six times, and each time the shoe starts again. The path drawing turns the construction into a length. That is the thing you can hold up against the price.
The one thing the watermark may not coverThe watermark on a free comparison card sits in the margin. It never covers the list of what this service cannot know, and it never covers the notice that a construction could not be established. Obscuring either of those could send someone to a repairer for nothing, which is the one outcome this service is built to avoid.

Same price, same upper. The free tier tells you which is which. The paid tier tells you how far apart they end up.
What a unit is
| Action | Units | Note |
|---|---|---|
| One exchange about a pair | 1 | A question and an answer, including a refusal where the question is outside what this service does. |
| One structure reading | 2 | A photograph read for construction, with the tells listed. Charged the same whether the result is one of the four or 'can't tell'. |
| Comparison card and lifespan path | 5 | The pair of images. Charged once per version. |
Allowances are service usage units. They are not money, not stored value, not redeemable for cash, and non-transferable. They reset at the start of each period and do not carry over. There are no top-up packs and no stored balance.
Before you subscribe
- Currency
- All prices are in US dollars (USD). Prices include VAT at the UK standard rate of 20%. The price shown is the price charged — there are no handling, processing or account fees.
- Delivery
- Access opens immediately on payment. This is a digital service; nothing is posted to you, so there is nothing to return.
- Renewal
- Paid plans renew automatically until cancelled. A separate reminder email — carrying no marketing — goes out before every renewal, with the amount, the date and a direct link to cancel.
- Cancellation
- One control on the billing page, available at all times. No retention flow, no offer screen, no telephone call. Access continues to the end of the period already paid for.
- Cooling off
- 14 days from subscribing, and a fresh 14 days after every renewal. The second one is early adoption of the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024, which is not yet in force.
- Refunds
- Full refund if you cancel before supply begins. A proportionate refund if supply has begun. Refunds go to the original payment method within 14 days.
- Trials
- There are none, and there are no promotions or discounts. The free tier is a permanent tier and never converts to a paid plan by itself.
- Cards accepted
- Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Card details are entered into the payment provider's own fields and never reach our systems.
- Age
- Paid plans are for people aged 18 and over. Under-18s may use the free tier with a parent or guardian's consent.
- Support
- support@kikiyok.shop · +44 20 7469 7312 · Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:30 UK time. We aim to reply within one working day.
